What will you do?

As Senior Data Engineer in kompasbank your primary responsibility is to manage and develop our data infrastructure. You will become part of the tech team consisting of +20 competent employees. 

You will work closely together with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure supports our analytics, regulatory reporting, machine learning models and algorithms. 

Your week will consist of many different tasks such as: 

• Build, design and maintain our data infrastructure in close collaboration with the organisation.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis.

• Develop data pipelines to enable machine learning models to function effectively.

• Implement best practices for data pipeline development, testing, deployment and monitoring. 

• Collaborate with our software engineers to integrate machine learning models and data pipelines into product systems. 

About you

We are looking for a person with experience within machine learning and data engineering who is ready to develop our infrastructure. 

You may recognise yourself in the following: 

• You are a skilled user of Python and AWS serverless services such as S3, Glue, SageMaker and Lambda.

• You have experience working with infrastructure as code (IaC), TypeScript and AWS CDK or you are eager to learn. 

• You are motivated by mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on machine learning and data engineering best practices.
